Ive had this game since launch day, well i did get rid of it at one stage, but missed it too much.So i got it again.Mw1 was a classic game, this the follow up was better in many ways, but had some annoying things about it.The campaign was a little overblown and hard to follow at times, but a complete blast nonetheless.
Spec Ops was also a fantastic add on,which i spent many hours playing, and still do.Most people buy it for the online and thats where I spent most of my time.
I'm not a great online player, but this made me feel like one.Loads of gun options, improved killstreaks, and more game types than you can shake a stick at.If something feels overpowered, then there's usualy an answer.I say usualy rather than always, because there's some stupidly overpowered perks and killsteaks.Tactical nuke,Sawn off shotguns, noob tubes, one man army.there's others but I'm not going into them.People also complain about harriers and attack helicopters, but the stinger missile sorts those out.
It may sound like I don't like this game, but the truth is I love it!.For every negative there's three positives. It's chaotic, fast paced and completely insane. The community is still massive and I think alot of people left for Mw3,but some are creepng back.
The value for money is incredible.I think ive spent around four days on this game, that sounds sad,but its nothing compared to some people. For my money this game is better than Mw3,Mw3 is good,But this is great.
If your thinking of buying this game, buy it!!,you wont regret it.Also the Hackers have been removed.Reviews By Patrick-P : Date 17 Feb 2011
Call of Duty - Modern Warfare 2 was, in my opinion the greatest Call of Duty released to date. The campaign is thoroughly enjoyable, the graphics are superb and the online play was the best of any FPS on the market.
Key word being was. Unfortunately this once great game has been completely ruined by hackers. You boot up the game join what you think is a regular game of Team Death Match only to find on being spawned you are instantly killed by some loser sitting at the spawn firing a Sniper Rifle at a wall. The people that are using the hack don't even try to hide it as you see on the kill cam exactly what they are doing.
This will occur several times before the 25 kill streak Nuke is used to end the game. Completely unplayable.
For those that have spent hours of game play time ranking up and unlocking achievements - beware. These hackers will simply delete your progress with a push of a button completely reseting your profile back to level 1.
Black Ops it is from now on. Hopefully Infinity Ward will learn from Treyarch and introduce security measures within the game/servers on Modern Warfare 3 rather than rely on the security of the Playstation itself.
It has been said that Infinity Ward have produced a patch which is currently being tested, but by the time its released I feel a large following may have already given up a joined the Black Ops club.
A real shame. I don't understand what is gained from using such a joke hack which proves absolutely nothing apart from the fact that you must be completely useless at the game in the first place to even consider using it.Reviews By Mr Bojangles : Date 10 Nov 2009
I've had this game for a couple of days now and if you wondering whether to buy this or not, the simple answer is, yes. One might have thought with all the press attention and hype surrounding this new title that the game could never possibly live up to expectations, but it most certainly does, and even exceeds expectations in certain areas.
First off, single player. Now, being honest the campaign isn't massily long, if your playing on regualar difficulty, expect to play for around 4-6 hours, however, ramp it up to veteran difficulty and you can make that 20+ (serioulsy, its hard!) But I think that the campain can be summed up best by the phrase "short and sweet", the plot is very well laid out and the cinematics are truly outstanding. There is also no lack of variety in this game either, not to spoil the plot, but you'll find yourself fightly in vastly different settings throughout the whole campaign which really does give the campaign an epic feeling. Overall the single player is well rounded and truly an astonashingly cinematic experience which you cannot afford to miss.Buy Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (PS3) Now
