I have to say I was quite disappointed in this game. Having got it as part of an xBox bundle, my husband and I relished the idea of going head to head and challenging each other on our knowledge of trivia. Having been brought up on the classic board game, we found this to be a poor comparison. Its obviously made for the American market with too many questions centred around American history, American TV, American Sports ......Reviews By Mrs. S. Johnson : Date 2 Jan 2010
This trivial pursuit game is great fun for the older members of the family. The questions would not be suitable for a youngster unless they were playing as part of a team with adults. This is because some of the questions are quite hard to answer.
The graphics are really good and the squares automatically light up when you have thrown the dice, to show you the number/topics you can land on, which stops having to count the number of spaces.Reviews By The Reviewer : Date 23 Aug 2010
The Xbox360 has almost a complete shortage of 'brain-training esque' games - so when I found out that Trivial Pursuit had made the leap to a next-generation console I decided that it was time to exercise the old grey matter. I was not disappointed.
I think the most important thing to mention is just how accessible this game is to both veteran players and newcomers alike - and that is thanks to the excellent 'Facts and Friends' mode that allows up to four people to go head-to-head in a quest to earn the most wedges (and includes such fun additions as betting against your opponent for points, and 'Wedge Offs' where people fight it out for a wedge in an increasingly quick True or False round). Its entertaining and (most importantly) fast - with each game lasting between 20-30 minutes.
There is the classic version of Trivial Pursuit to have a go at (which is also multiplayer) but I wouldn't bother. The games go on for hours and do not get more enjoyable the longer you spend trudging round the board again and again.
For the single player there is 'Clear the Board' mode - which, like 'Facts and Friends', is a quick and fun way to play.
The only negative things that I have to say about this game are that some of the questions are dubiously placed into categories where they seemingly don't belong and that they can be quite difficult to answer - so for younger players (under ten's) it might be too difficult.Buy Trivial Pursuit (Xbox 360) Now
